It didn’t work; I was then told that I would have to pay £100 each way for them to collect and return, told them I would ring back with a pick up date, meanwhile I decided to pull the back off and take a look myself, 30+ screws later I was in, here’s what I did, (1) pushed all the connectors to see if there was any loose, tried the TV, still the same, (2) remove more panels to reveal the ribbon cables connecting the pcb to the plasma screen, pushed them all firmly, and every one of them made a nice clicking sound as if to say they where not secure in the 1st place, turned the TV on again, and hey presto the line had gone, left it in this state for a few hrs turning the plasma on and off every 5 mins or so, replaced the back, connected it all back up, watched TV all night, then checked it this morning, fingers crossed all seemed ok, I have seen similar posts on here about the same problem, and in every case the reply is “your board is dead” junk it, well I say don’t give up to easily, you got nothing to loose by having a look, bear in mind these plasmas have a huge power supply with large CAPS so take care you can still get electrocuted if your not careful even with the power off. hope this helps Chris[/quote]
