never had a buffer board fail on that model, have changed 32 of the pdps used in that series of plasmas. as you can tell not reliable, many of those were "goodwill repairs", apparently the foam used to prevent dust ingress can release a gas when first new that gradually eats away at the ribbons to the pdp, usually causes single lines or groups but i have seen several with the same fault, if you dont have the receipt try the buffer as minnie suggests but i dont hold out much hope. |

Looks like a bad buffer board to me! Could be the panel also but worth a sot! C1 C2 are usualy the designation. |

the fault is caused by a defective pdp, even though the unit is out of warranty take the set to a Panasonic DSN member with the original receipt, ask them to contact panasonic for you to request repair assistance, i would be very suprised if they do not repair it as a "goodwill gesture". |

Pull out screws and open the back, provide detailed photo of the internal
circuitry.
Furthermore try to find printed Panel manufacturer and Code/Version. |

Hi all,
Can someone offer some suggestions as to what this fault may be?
The unit is out of warranty so I just wanted to know if its even worth getting it repaired?
I have attached a picture of the problem.
Thanks
