I unplugged, disconnected everything, waited an hour, reset and it works! |

Hi Andreas
Have the servicemanual you need.
Check the solderpoints, its one of the most faults from Sony.

Hi
Check regulated voltage lines +5,+12,-12 to right value
Check grounded points to main ground
Check Output transistors(darlingtons) |

Hi Andreas! In your amplifier check the outputs Transistors and the voltages to them. |

Andreas,
Try removing every input and output and see what happens, then add them back one by one to see if the problem rears its ugly head, maybe one of the speaker cables or speakers is shorted.

My family also have one and I recall it coming up on theirs, have you gone through and checked all the settings, like speaker settings etc ( I assume it is 5.1ch receiver).
It happened when the volume was cranked to hard and then the word "Protector" appeared on the units display.
It should hopefully be like I said a simple setting, if unsure go through the manual and setup the unit again.. |
