I noticed alot of people say their I.C. chips are stk392-110 or 150 or whatever...Why am I the only person that has stk394 in mine? While testing my resistors I noticed that my tv has been repaired before due to the fact that a resistor was soldered on the wires of the old one. Basically this dude cut the resistor off the wires (or whatever u call the two silver things that get soldered to the circuit board) and soldered the new one on so it sticks up about an inch higher than the others |

Take the value of the resistor - add 10% and subtract 10%. If the value you read falls within this range - resistor is good. Example: 100 ohm is good if reads anywhere between 90 and 110 ohms.
I only used 10% as an example, yours may be 5%? |
thanks...both too high and too low means bad resistor |
