| just wanted to let everyone know that i was able to find the ribbons via crutchfields part search... i was able to order both cables that i'd been looking for. |

| thanks for looking... i guess i could count up the leads, lengths, thickness, etc. and maybe try digikey? is there a better source? |

| UNFORTUNATELY ACCORDING TO THE SERVICE MANUAL THE FLAT CABLES ARE NOT AVAILABLE SO CANNOT EVEN COMPARE THE PART NOS TO SAY IF THEY ARE INTERCHANGEABLE, |

hello again! i managed to screw up the two flat ribbon cables that connect the laser assembly to the PCB on my sony dvp-nc655p dvd player...
a few of the leads on the two flat cables are peeling back and crossing over each other. i've straightened them pretty well and thought that i inserted them ok, but the dvd player keeps powering itself off after a couple seconds with no error code.
could anyone advise on where to find replacement cables? or would the cables from a sony dvp-nc600 dvd player work? there's a broken one on sale on ebay. |
