Ford radio schematics are near impossible to find as they are only supplied to authorised sevive centres. most ford radios are made by visteon but there maybe different schematics for the same model! for instance the 2006 was made from 1990 to 1996 but there are 4 main PCB variants. they are identified by the PWB number not the model or part number. the main problem areas on the 2006/7/14/16 are: Green Electrolitic capacitors around the Harris 5V regulator leak and corrode PCB, these can cause Dead radio, dim/no LCD display and No RDS! other problem areas are the main smoothing cap, also leaks and corrodes pcb (Dead radio/Missing channels) Be carefull when unsoldering these as sometimes the electrolite causes a "thermal event" (remember the G11 PSU??).. The power mosfets play up causing no Tape play or not ejecting (note: one is N channel the other P) sometimes the small npn SMT transistor also dies when theses go!. The Hybrid RDS chip is also a problem on earlier units!..., LCD alignment can cause missing LCD segments as can a faulty display also check the small SMT caps on the display pcb (Oscillator) for no display!.....Hope this helps
