| set is in frame collapse, could be as simple as a dry jointed frame ic, if not replace frame ic, check supply to ic, check electrolytic caps in vicinity for low value. | |

| I have had this tv for about 8 years with no problems. but since yesterday I cannot get a picture on the screen. I sometimes get a thin white line across the screen which looks as if it should widen into the picture but then it goes black. The sound is OK. Does anyone have any ideas about whether this is repairable, if so is it likely to be an expensive job? I don't want to change it at the moment if I can avoid it, but if its very expensive to repair may as well buy new.
Any advice very gratefully accepted, thanks. |
