Pleeeeease help. I bought an $80 (no laughing. I was on a budget.) Jensen CD player from Circuit City less than 2 months ago. This has been a nightmare from the beginning. In those two months, the unit has operated correctly for three weeks, and not at all for two weeks and the rest of the time with the following problem. CC will not take it back or exchange it. Jensen will only let me mail it in for repairs.

The tilting face plate is stuck open. Can anyone tell me how I might be able to fix it cheaply? Of course, it still works, but it looks stupid and is a bit inconvenient to use the dials with the face plate in that position!

I have already spent enough gas money running back and forth fighting over this to pay for the unit. To mail it in and wait for repairs would be rediculous.

If I can't fix it, I will just pitch it and buy something else. Thanks!
