I've repaired a RZ2900 with the same problem, I replaced the output I.C STK 4152II and replaced a zener diode in the start up power supply
You could have a problem with the output stage of your amp! |

| I have a Sansui RZ-2500 tuner/amp that only goes into standby mode but doesn't turn on. Any help appreciated but a schematic or manual would help immensely as it's all microprocessor controlled. |
