thanks Gary, my model is SP-524JMF. My crt has some kind of plate screwed to the side of the tube, I'll see what this is about cause my neighbour said that a tech had filled his ones previously (least that's what he was told).

THE COOLANT CANNOT BE REFILLED, THE CRT HAS TO BE REPLACED AND ALL THE COOLANT CLEANED FROM THE PCB, THE SET UP AFTERWARDS IS NOT AN EASY TASK, LAST TIME I TRIED TO ORDER THE CRTS FROM SAMSUNG THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE DISCONTINUED BUT I HAVE ALSO HEARD OF PEOPLE MANAGING TO FIND REPLACEMENTS FROM ELSEWHERE. THE MODEL I SAW WAS A SP42W5HFX I DONT KNOW IF THIS IS APPLICABLE TO YOURS AS YOU HAVENT GIVEN THE MODEL NO.

I have noticed some liquid on the circuit board that has corroded components. I believe that the 3 lamps are filled with coolant and could this be leaking. Where do I check for leaks, how do I fill them and what sort of fluid do I use if I am able to restore the board.
