Hello all,
I'm not sure how technical some of you are, but I'm having a bit of a problem with my 2 year old TV where some components have been burning up. First thing I noticed was a resistor, so I purchased the manual on-line, and found out what type of resistor it was and replaced it. When the resistor burned up yet again on power-up, I then moved along the path to find something called an "AIR GAP" in line that was also burned. Now I'm not sure what the AIR GAP's purpose is, but I can't find anywhere to actually purchase one. Every TV repair person I've spoken with is unwilling to sell me just the piece, and they try to tell me that it's a power supply problem. I'd much rather purchase the piece ($4) rather than spending all the dough on a repair person to come assess this. Does anyone know of where I can purchase said piece, or of any other ideas on how to fix this.
The part number is: 224D019040 AIR GAP - 2.0 +-0.05KV
All help is appreciated, and if you would like to "look" at the service manual I can send that as an attachment as well.
Thanks! |
