Ok, can't be sure, but sounds like either some type of short is pulling down on one of the supply lines, or perhaps HV shutt down circuit iis kicking in. Have to get a schematic to test & troubleshoot.
Based on experience with panasonic combos, I can tell you that HV circuit transistors are easily damaged during power surges. |

yes I can hear the relay engage and then disengage after a short instant when I press the power button. |

While there is always a possibility of a defective flyback, more than likely it is NOT. If the set failed during a storm/power surge, it is probably an issue with the power supply &/or syscon ckt--perhaps a relay driver txistor---do you hear a relay click? or some sort of component failure in secondary power supply. Need to tshoot further. |

Hi, I have this unit and it shut off in a recent power outtage and never powered back on. The green status light on front comes on but when i press power I don't get anything. I checked the HOT and surrounding components and the power supply section but couldn't find any defective components. Could it be the flyback? |
