It would be a lot less hassle to simply buy another DVD player.;
As far as the diode/suppressor, it does not have to be the exact one. There are many substitutes you can use in place of it(as a matter of fact, you can leave it out of the ckt --it's sole purpose is to act as a crowbar protection during excessive power glitches. otherwise it has no effect).
TOP224Y is another story; It is already considered obsolete --is manufactured by power integration & sold to distributors in packages/tubes of 50 minimum. Their canadian distributor is in Ottawa, but has a minimum

Digikey & Mouser in USA list the number but again with min of 50. ...Even if you could get it thru player's manufacturer, it'd cost way too much after all said & done....These days, most if not all the small audio/video is throwaway. |
