Hi,
Not sure abt your qn on KSS480A compatibility with 210A. One thing to check is, does the laser pickup try to read at all? ie. do u see the lens "popping" in & out?
Other possible cause for cd read problem is break or intermittent break in flexible cable that links between the pickup & PCB. |

|
| Can a KSS480A optical pickup be replaced with a KSS210A. My Aiwa NSX-999 has a KSS480A installed, but that part is not available easily in the local market. Hence I bought a KSS210A as replacement and fitted it. They are dimensionally and pin-pin compatible. But my system still doesn't read any CD. Maybe something else is wrong, or I am wondering, could it be due to the different model of pickup. Any ideas? |
