pretty much says it,

cuc5300 chassis will reset audio to a low level at random - maybe once every week.
it can also be provoked by other remote controls.

one other thing, the 5300 chassis has a microcontroller with cuc5200 printed on it - is this normal or has someone been playing with it?
even if it's wrong i still think the fault is not related to the part number.
