An update, same thing happening with antenna TV signal. Child lock code (default) is 1111. Controls for brightness, contrast, treble, bass, transparancy, etc. selected form Menu are inoperative. Thanks |

No problem with on screen menu, it will stay on forever, responds to remote control commands, however, when connected to a computer signal, screen turns off with image from computer appearing only momentarily <1sec. Have not tried it with TV antenna signal. Computer shop did not have one. Originally, I thought it may be on child lock, (still do but not 100%) checked internet and it appears to be problem with this model. I tried several combinations to enter child lock, like 0000, but it rejected it as wrong code. Although I don't have the unit in my possesion, it appears that the VGA input from the computer and the TV Signal from the tuner share some common components ( I don't have schematics, either) that may have gone bad and the control is reacting by shuting the screen down.
