Pic goes purple leads me to a degaussing problem. Every time you fire up the tv, the degaussing coil demagnetizes the crt, this should correct this. Sounds like this isn't working. PM me, I'll keep working on it. |

No, it's a flat CRT. We bought it in 2003. |

I think this has something to do with the green of the RGB disappearing. I thought it was a connection at first but after checking multiple inputs it seems to be something else. It would be nice to hear something from somebody here who knows for sure.

I bought this TV about 2 years ago, great TV.
Problem is now randomely the picture will go purple. And its very annoying, you cant even watch TV because it gives you a horrible headache.
Now the problem is getting more rapid, in terms of its purple more than half the time.
Can anyone pintpoint whats wrong? Do i have to take it to a repair shop, and how much money would it cost to get whatever is wrong fixed
