Hi I have a Toshiba 36A41 that started to make a loud poping noise in the tube. It also displayed angled raster lines and got very brite. Powering off on produced a flashing power led, and nothing elense. The set after sitting did power on but the picture is now heavy green. I DL the service manual and tried to reset the white balance. When cycling through the values for each driver (for the guns) Green and Red are fine, as in you can go to their max. When adjusting the Blue value it on 3 ocasions produced the same poping on in the tube and produced a high tone. Reducing the value (turning down) would stop the problem. The thing is I cant produce white with the lower values. So is the problem in the Tube or can it be the driver circuit for the blue gun screwing up?

Also when adjusting the 5 values RCUT GCUT BCUT GDRV BDRV, is there a set sequence that should be followed? I get what I think looks good but when I check a thin horazontal line which should be white if adjusted properly, its always a different color. Im just wondering if there is an approach to acheaving the desired balance.
Thanks
