Would it be better to take the "may involve a sledge hammer, a gas can, and a match" to the Viewsonic office?  |

| I just replaced the color driver IC1302 in my 21PS because of a bad green signal. After replacement, the OSD looks great with the green back and everything. However, the actual VGA input is extremely dim. I was reading that an interface is needed to adjust the microcontroller in the monitor after replacing this chip. I've contacted Viewsonic about 12 times for a copy of the software that fits on a 1.44m floppy. They always say "We'll mail it to you..." or "We'll email you." This never happens. I like this particular monitor alot. If I can't get someone to help me, I fear the next thing I do to the monitor may involve a sledge hammer, a gas can, and a match. Please, anyone, save my monitor. |
