| Thanks Gary. I was waiting for this weekend to try to fix it... but all of a sudden the tv goes back to normal working condition on its own, even the remote works again... crazy! | |

| try replacing the switches on the front of the set, a similar fault occured on a series of sony tvs made for the uk market a few years ago. you could just remove the switches, if all functions return to normal from the remote you know that is the answer. | |

| 4 year old wega tv, model kv-24fs120, recently gone crazy --
a week ago: remote stopped working; on front panel, only power, volume up, volume down buttons worked, channel up/down probably worked also ("channel fixed" showed up when botton was pressed), tv/video switch button didn't work --- tv was stuck on channel 3 off RF feed; now: tv can switch among RF, Video 1, 2, 3, but does it ON ITS OWN. pressing the channel up/down button on front panel can sometimes get it out of video 1, 2, or 3 temperarily but tv returns to video 1 when button is released. anyone has an idea what to check for? also, where can I get a copy of the service manual? thanks. |
