| I'm not in UK, but can tell you that any ABxx/ AFxxx/ACxx.. etc codes displayed on philips dvd recorders in general , are related to internal crash of the machine. You may be able to unplug & plug the set back in & it MAY start working again. My experience has been that majority of the time, fault is in the digital signal process PCB & on rare occasion the mechanism itself.
Either way, cheaper to replace that repair in today's market. |

| My philips dvdr 980 has been working fine the last time i used it when i went to use it yesterday it had the code AFFCF2F displayed and will not do anything at all as if it was locked can any one help thanks. | |
