Replaced IC301. Problem solved.

For future reference, anyone with this type or similar tv, IC301 is Panasonic part # AN5515. Can be cross-referenced with ECG1684.

Thanks for the help.

There should be three red caps in the verticle circuit. Replace them.

Don't know this exact model... do try...

Replace vertical output IC, C308, R327 and D302.
PARTS:
Vertical output IC AN5521
C308 220/35
R327 5.6 1/2W
D302

Not really. Did you replace all of the electrolytics around the verticle IC? Use quality high temperature replacements. (105 Deg C)
Check for failing solderjoints, or resolder the IC's connections.
Test the supply to the verticle IC, is it in specification without excessive ripple? If ripple is excessive, test the rectifier diode, filter capacitor and solderjoints.
Test the capacitors around the sync separator. Is there a pin circuit feeding into the verticle coils?

Hopefully one of these suggestions might help. Smile

I need some help with this TV, it's driving me nuts!
I had a black bar at the top of the screen. Replaced C301 & C305 (1uf @50v caps) and now I have a new problem! I now have a series of lines at the top of the screen and it looks like a portion of the top of the screen is folding over. Any ideas what I have to replace? Is it another leaky cap or could it be the vertical IC (IC 301 or AN5515)?
Any help would be great!
Thanks
