| Loss of vertical deflection. More than likely your vertical IC is bad and the caps around it are dry. | |

| I have the exact same problem. I think (if I remember my elec training) that it is probably the vertical amp. I am searching for the Tech Manual/Service Manual online now. Let me know if you discover the precise problem.
