| ...some pieces of equipment with a simillar problem, allaudio (dod sampler, midi controller and pedal).. no tell-tale signs of burnt with possiblity of wire malfunction (mainly on the sampler and pedal)... If I figure it out I'll be sure to pass on the info.

I've got a Korg Kaoss Pad audio effects unit that's on the blink. When I switch it on, sometimes the power / lights flick on and off about once a second, but most of the time it lights up for a second and then dies. I've taken it apart and had a look at the boards, there's no sign of any burnt out tracks or components. The ac adaptor's wire housing was cut at some point in the past, both wires were exposed and may have touched. I fixed this now but still have the same problem. If anyone has any suggestions for how to go about fixing the unit, or what might be wrong, i'd greatly appreciate it photos of the disassembled unit at http://www.flickr.com/photos/27175297@N00/ thanks |
