Oh well, so much for trying to keep the costs down The transistor 2sc5251 is supposed to be an original part but the lopt was an alternative

Sounds like the replacement transformer is the wrong type and not giving
enough heater voltage and you have to increase the A1 voltage to get a picture.Where did you get it from?

KV28FX20U set, high pitched noise from inside, Blown 2SC5251 transistor replaced, unit tried to come on but shut down, LOPT replaced with HR8579 (equivalent)
Unit now comes on but picture very dark with visable horizontal lines, turning screen voltage up picture flickers and goes pinkish in colour, Horizontal lines always visable.
Any idea's?
