the clock on my sony SE720 (G i think) fails to work.

It updates when it feels like it and its annoying as it isn't an expensive clock anymore.
The eprom driopped out a while ago and although I managed to reset the gubbins within the clock ain't worked since.

Now did I forget to set the clock update(if there is one) or is it more sinister.

Also is there any way I can enter a reset menu?
