I'm going by memory, Q410 0r 401 at the edge of the left board is your horizontal pulse. Resolder it. There are 2 jumpers between the boards near the top that get bad solder connections. Start there if you still need help let me know. Check your pico fuses also to make sure the 18v line isn't open. |

2 1/2 year old unit that is seldom used. As mentioned in the title, the sound works fine. I have noticed an occaisional flicker of a text box while switching video modes, but otherwise no visible output on the screen. I am quite ready to take this unit to a qualified repair person, but I also do not like pissing away money. It's been a couple of years since I've had a scope probe in my hands and even more since I've been inside a TV ( and then we were talking CRT) nonetheless I can find my way around a schematic, have access to some rudimentery tools DMM (no high-voltage probes) and dont want to spend $400.00 to have some kid reflow a cold solder joint. plus it is in the basement and somewhat heavy. It may have been left on overnight prior to this happening - all three guns do glow, but I have no frame of referance.... whatever the problem may it appears to be common to the three guns. Any ideas before I hump this thing out the door? Thanks |
