| If a fault is intermittent there could be a dry joint. It's easy enough to check before you start changing components. |

| Replace C517. If that doesn't fix it, replace IC531. |

I have a 27" Sony Trinitron color tv; model: KV-27EXR15; November 1990.
On a purely random basis (cold, or warmed up, not at all for a day, or a few times in a day), the picture will look like an hourglass. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should look at, or into? |
