The 3.9 ohm resistors are the bias resistors. In any rear projection they are critical. If you change the ic's you should check the surrounding resistors.

Replace your convergence IC's. Should be STK392-040's. Or replace the sub deflection board. # AA95-01846D.

I've got convergence problems with my Samsung model hcl4715w. Using the remote, I can get to the manual adjustment. The only color out of alignment is RED. I can move the RED vertically, but not horizontally. Does that mean that I will need a new Convergence Module?

I've read other posts that talk about a 'service mode'. Can I get to service mode and make adjustments without leaving my recliner or does it require special equipment or tools?

Thanks for any help and suggestions.
