Sorry but the model # on my tv is 55UX58BA if it makes a difference the problem is the same as model # 50UX58B the c707 is visably blown thanks

It like flickers and shakes until I hit it on the right side or move the cabinet then it stops. Holds for a day or two then does it again. Hummmmm.

Ok, I got the tv to work but the screen bounces sometimes, when i move it it stops but then does it again.

Is there something that will fix that?

OK, thanks, I'll take the back off and post a picture. I haven't dug into it yet, so we will see.

I was just going to buy a new tv but Peach thinks it can be repaired cheaper, I say just get one but I have to check it out first to appease the crowd, haha.

Transformers don't leak the CRT's do meaning the board is usually junk. 14 year old set, 50" time to think if you even want to fix it.

Hello, I have a Hitachi 50UX52B/53K (bought it in '97)

THe kids were watching tv and the screen faded to black AFTER it shrunk to the center. Sometimes it will stay on for a little bit then go out. They said they use to have to hit the right side for it to work.

I took the back off a while ago and it looks like one of the transformers is leaking.

Could this be the cause?
