Okay, i'm making progress. Have decompressed those files and now have a wealth of service information.

But I am still falling at the first hurdle, how to get into the engineering menu's.

I press the "menu" button on the remote control. This brings up a box simply titled "MENU" from where you can select (with the right arrow) further menu's such as picture, sound, features, install etc.

If I start typing the magic digits 4725 at this point it simply exits this menu and interprets what I am typing as selecting a channel number.

I have tried the same from each of the sub menu's with the same effect.

The instructions are to go to the "main menu" then type these numbers. Am I missing something, I thought this was the "main menu" or is there another one.

Also in that service manual, there is mention of press the "OK" key to save data. My remote does not have an "OK" button.

So sorry for sounding dim, either I'm doing something blatently wrong, or the procedure to enter the service menu's is different for my set.

you need to download winrar or winace either of which will then extract all 3 sections in one go

Okay, apologies if I sound dumb.

First one of those files is the circuit diagram. Okay with that.

Second one downloads in three parts 11AK49[1].part1.rar 11AK49[1].part2.rar 11AK49[1].part3.rar

Now excuse my ignorance what is a file with a .rar extension, and how do I decompress it?

Thanks for your help so far. However it's actually an 11AK49-7 chassis.

If I go to the main menu and start typing digits, all that happens is it exits the menu and the "47" selects channel 47 then the "25" selects channel 25.

Anty more help now we know it's a different "budget" chassis, or am I just doing something wrong?

Gary, we don't say 'budget.'
We say inexpensive model!
