I'm not familiar with the specific unit, but I can tell you that Majority--if Not ALL Coby brand devices (dvd/mp3 player/personal accs. etc) marketed in US are of disposable cheap Chineese made origin & pretty much "throw away" items when it comes to servicing.

May want to contact them direct at www.cobyusa.com --doubt if the'd do anything

Good Luck

Hello everyone. I am from Poland. Last summer I bought in USA - mp3 player Coby MPC789. I was using it without problems untlil yesterday. I listened music as usual and I put it on the shelf. Today I wanted to switch it on, but it did not work. I checked the battery status, I tried to connect it with computer, but I got a message,
that this is a "Wrong USB service". It looks like my mp3 player is death, completly out of use. Earlier I had not problems like this, so I am completly confused. I tried everything, I checked the Hold button and UL AC Adapter. I am guessing that it can by caused by soft, disc or battery.
I never opened my mp3 player, and it never fell on the floor, so it cannot be caused by my indiscretion. I am really asking for some advice, what can I do with it. In my neighbour there is not any store with COBY products, mabye there is not any in whole Poland, so I cannot ask nobody, for some help.
