Thanks,

but I've got this monitor because it is broken. I want to use it fore a diy-beamer, so the power supply must be working.

Most LCD monitors from dell should carry at least a 2 year warranty. Mine from gateway 3. These are basically considered throw aways. The fuse should be in the primary of the power supply. I would suspect the rectifier, regulator, or a mosfet. You can contact dell and see if they supply just a power supply for the monitor. I doubt it.

I have a Dell 15" E151FPp LCD monitor and in its second day of usage, has just died. The power just went from the LCD and the led will not come on at all.

I tried different power cables, nothing.

I opened it up and found the "t2h" 250v fuse had blown so I replaced it with a 3 amp fuse, which blew. I then put in a physically bigger 5 amp and 13 amp fuses, but although the fuses did not blow, the monitor still refuses to turn on.

It seems there's something that's causing it to blow - any ideas as to what it could be? I imagine it's a common enough problem...

Any help at all would be great.
Thanks a lot.

I might add that I have recieved this monitor from a friend who got a replacement for this monitor from Dell, he simply gave this 15" LCD to me to see if i could fix it.

Its only 1 day old in terms of usage.

Thanks
