I have the same set (D52W19 w/ TC222 chassis) w/ same symptoms. I thought it was the flyback based on what I read. It turned on a couple of times w/ a sizzle so I took the back panel off and saw what the sizzle was: an arc under the board about an inch behind the flyback near a large metal heatsink. The tv was given to us so I'm not afraid to tinker with it. Any ideas?
Thanks!

There are several different part numbers for LL008 flyback for that model. You need to check the drawing number on the flyback label.

Drawing number Part#
10756-48X 259296
10799-63X 265409
1090633X 270125
XBSC310103X 270125

Make sure that the replacement transformer comes with the HV wire attached.

The flyback transistor in my girlfriends projection tv is arcing at the top. If anyone has any information as to how to replace this part without going to an expensive repair shop, we would be most appreciative. thanks.
