| SOUNDS LIKE THE DEGAUSS THERMISTOR NEEDS TO BE REPLACED, ALTHOUGH IT MAY BE WORTH MOVING ANY MAGNETIC SOURCES AWAY FROM THE TV, THIS CAN ALSO HAPPEN IF THE SET IS LEFT IN STANDBY AND NOT TURNED OFF WITH THE MAINS SWITCH, COULD ALSO BE THE RELAY IN THE DEGAUSS CIRCUIT USED ON SOME MODELS, POSTING THE MODEL NUMBER WILL HELP SOMEONE TO POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. |

| i hope someone can offer some advice or assistance. i just put our sony trinitron on, not for the first time today, and the color is suddenly 'tie dye'. there is a big green circle then red and then blue. my husband thinks it might be a defective tube. the set isn't even five years old! please help! many thanks. |
