| the regulator is actually a mosfet-e stp9nb50 rated at 500v 8.6A 125w, readily available from maplin or any electrical stockists, equivalents are 2sk1503, 2sk2366, 2sk2866. very unusual for it to fail on its own, normally killed by something else, check for dry joints on high voltage caps or resistors having changed in value. | |
