|
hi , new to the forum but hope som1 can help , got this str-de598 from a friend who clams to have plugged in the wrong speakers damaging the front channels. the unit response to the on off switch and the relay can be heard clicking the display is now dead apart from a few lights above some buttons (5v line still active ) . Seems to be in some sort of protect mode however this amp does not display this on the screen. i presumed that a channel transistor had blown and opened her up , the main fuse is ok no burnt components, Meter set on diode check reading from collector emitter (transistors removed from main board) Transistors mp1620 , mn2488 Mp120 all have similar readings 468 ohms - 472 ,>> However MN2488 show irregular readings With some having a relatively high reading compared to others. ranging from 464 – 479/80 is it possible they are leaking or short ? I can’t find the relative electronic diagram for this amp but have a model similar. With incorrect speaker use are the transistors a good place to start. Any help would be appreciated |
