Hi,
The clicking noise maybe due to your power supply trying to fire up ('click!') only to cut itself off again (another 'click!') as protection against a faulty part. I don't think its the relay at fault.
I suspect a short in the HOT (Horizontal Output Transistor) itself. This is usually the largest transistor in the circuit and its mounted on heatsink close to the FBT (Flyback Transformer). Replacing it might help... but in most cases, there could be other parts in the horizontal circuit that is faulty.
U may or may not see the Power LED light up depending on the design of the power supply. |

used to make faint clicking noise. I isolated the noise to a power relay on p.c.board . I purchased a new one , re-soldered it back , no luck.I'm just wondering if someone has heard of a common problem with these. It was fine for 6 months then just didn't turn on . Plese HELP! |
