.15 Silver
1.5 Gold
15 Black
150 Brown
1.5K Red
15K Orange
150K Yellow
1.5Meg Green
15Meg Blue
Start at the bottom and work upward. Each step upward is obviously a times ten decrease in resistance.
If this resistor is the LAST (only) defective part, the set will start trying to work when you get close.
Wouldn't reporting the location number that's silk-screened on the PCB near this resistor have been easier? |

|
| My Philips TV 21pt3324/71 shut down aftewr a lightning storm in our area. I found a burnt resistor beyond recognition at the power supply section. I appreciate if somebody could identify it for me. The resistor is color coded with brown, green and ? and gold. |

If someone has experienced this fault before, kindly help. Thanks in advanced.
Philips 21PT3324
TV set comes on then picture and sound shutdown after few seconds.
H.O.T. voltages are C= 35Vdc; E=18Vdc; Vdc= 18
I have tried to replace the controller IC(TEA1507) of the MosFET because output is only .086Vdc, diagram says it should be 2Vdc.
other components in power supply has been checked, no problem.
I'm still working on this set, alloted 1 hour per day of doing the repair.
