Hello all,

The pinout that already being posted is correct.
U can buy a VGA extension cable and cut 1 side off.
Open ur monitor and disconnect the connector inside for de VGA cable.
Now u have to open the connector u have cut off from the cable to see how the wires are connected.
Now u can re-attach the wires carefully trough figuring out on witch pin the wires are connected to.
The most extension cables come close with the collors.

My fix was as follow:

Connector Cut extension cable

Pin 1 Pink-inside Red wire Red wire
Pin 2 Grey-inside Grey wire Grey wire
Pin 3 Blue-inside Blue wire Blue wire
Pin 4 Not connected Black
Pin 5 White Black
Pin 6 Grnd-inside Red wire Grnd
Pin 7 Grnd-inside Grey wire Grnd
Pin 8 Grnd-inside Blue wire Grnd
Pin 9 Red White
Pin 10 Black Black
Pin 11 Not connected Not connected
Pin 12 Brown Brown
Pin 13 Orange Green
Pin 14 Yellow White
Pin 15 Green Yellow

I have a Hp 1702 LCD Monitor wiith a broken 15-pin vga cable , now i need pinout and color schematic . I have 10 cables sticking out of the monitor and haven't a clue what to do . Please help or send me schematic .
Here comes the color and value of my cables out of the monitor :
Brown = 9,6 v
Green = 0 v
Yellow = 1,4 v
White = 1,4 v
Orange = 9,6 v
Black = 0,9 v
Red = 9,9 v
I have allready connected Rgb , that was he easy part .
Can anyone tell me which color is h-sync , v-sync and the rest ...[/quote]

are all the cables with "n.c." not connected? How is it with the thicker blue, red and gray cables (with smaler cables inside)? It would be great if you have some answers. Or even better the schematics.

I do not have specific information concering this monitor.
The colors on the monitor cables are not widely standardized,
so different monitors can use different colors for different
functionality.

It has information on locating the sync signal on cut or broken
monitor cables.

Few comments on your monitor measurements:
I would not connect anythign from the VGA card to the wires that
have those over 9V voltage. This high voltages are higher than
any VGA signal uses (all VGA signals are less than 5V) and connecting
this high voltages to PC grahics cards can damage it.
It sounds strange that any VGA cable signal has this high voltages.
