| either backlight or ballast or inverter as they call it.some sonys ballast is part of lcd.you need someone to check and make sure which one is defective. | |

| Hi All,
I have a Sony KDL-32S2000 LCD TV. And a few days ago the top half of the screen got dark, and it started to flicker. I tried to do some research, but was not successful. i bought this TV about 1 yr and 6 months ago. and the Dumb warranty is only for 1 YEAR!! I'm just curious if there are any other situations similar to mine, or any suggestions on what I can do. I found this place, but they are charging about $120 just to look at the problem. Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated. I am in the Sacramento area if that helps. Thanks for listening/reading  |
