as im sure you already knwo theirs two boards on chasis small one being the power supply board where i-r reciever is located, which should be my starting point etc??

if im wrong please advise me and ill let you knwo how im getting along with it as we go

You should get an ESR meter and check all over the power supply for dry caps.

hi guys,

ive got a problem with a philips blackline, screen has red lines top to bottom crossing the screen in wavey type of way, it is more predominant when viewing dark contrast programs and films ect.

ive got a salvage blackline to take spares from so has anyone got any idea as to what part i will need to strip out to repair the decent one.

thanks

terry
