Wow Thank You!, however I fail to see how you don't think it has a camera. when the Pictures Clearly show it.. however the site you posted has the Pin layout of All The Wires. Red - Video Black - 12V Audio - White Mic - Blue.. i Thank you for posting that for me, not all i have to do it make my cable and i will have my Video and Audio, i will also build a device to take advantage of the Intercom feature in it  thank you again!

No doubt it has a camera.....have U tried RS site? matter of fact it is posted as part of a CCTV surveillance system.

| yes there are more pics of the Actual Camera PCB, this site however only allowed 4 pics....so nice :S

| Looking at the pictures, sort of reminds me of a (Radio- Shack/Micronta) system I had set up in my business years ago and If I'm not mistaking , it was actually an audio sensor/detector made to look like a camera which was set up to be controlled by a main switching box located somwhere in the building. --Can't say for sure if this is the same though??
Your pc board picture appears to be an Audio amplifier circuit controled by some sort of a relay. KA2201 is nothing but a simple audio amp----Do not see any path or a link/connection for any "video" whatsoever? So, unless there are other connection/pcb, Just don't see where/how you get any"video" to be able to monitor?  |

| Usually, it is fairly easy to trace the wiring inside the camera to at least find out which pins go to ground and +12V. Then, power up the camera and check with oscilloscope on which other pin there is video signal.
Note that many cheap security cameras do not use standardized video signal levels and impedances. Often, the interface is intended for a twisted pair cable with 120 ohms termination instead of coaxial cable with 75 ohms termination as is common for a tv's video input. |

| Hello,
i'm trying to get an old Microta Security Camera that i got from a discount store to work. it runs on 12VDC and has Infrared, a Speaker, Microphone and the Camera. the only output is a 4pin mini-Din jack. i've tried using a S-video cable to the tv and it didn't work, i assume from Lack of power to the camera. so i'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to identify what wires out of the 4 are for Power/Video/Audio & Ground. and how to make a custom cable to power the camera and hook-up to my TV. thank you for any help. any is greatly appriciated -Banshee |
