| Hello.
I have encountered a problem with Hitachi C32WD2TN (A7 chassis). The TV is 8 year old. It had problem that it periodically went to standby and to turn it back to working state the owner had to beat it. Once a serviceman came and repearing took him only one minute. He said that the problem with dry joints. My friend (previous owner of this TV set) brought it to me. At first, when I turned it on, it was in standby state and I could not make it show any picture. After it I turned it off, open it and test every dry joint that I could find. After this procedure, it turned on normally and was working for more than hour. When I turned it on after several hours, the width of the picture was only half of the screen, but height of it was normal. I turned it off and then turned it on again. The width of the picture became less. After the next "turn on - turn off" procedure, the TV set was not working at all, even the standby LED did not work. If now I turn it on it does not work and I can hear strange sound like some relay switching periodicaly (period is about 2-3 seconds). If you have any ideas, please write it down here. Thanks in advance. P.S. I have and read the service manual but it didn't help me. |
