Remove the speaker grill, remove the front cover. In the front you'll see the three tubes. Tap gently on the red tube with a screw driver handle. The handle is non conductive. Observe any changes. There are 6 pots on a black block. Find the top ones, should be labeled screen. Turn the red screen down. You should have a black and white picture up while you do this. Try restore gray scale. Let me know what happens. If the tube is non responsive, bad tube. If the red is real jumpy, bad tube. Could be it just needs to be tweeked down a hair. If you tap the red tube and the red jumps, bad tube. |

Define too much red. Is the red out of place ie convergence ic's or the red color is taking over the picture. |
