I noticed alot of people say their I.C. chips are stk392-110 or 150 or whatever...Why am I the only person that has stk394 in mine? While testing my resistors I noticed that my tv has been repaired before due to the fact that a resistor was soldered on the wires of the old one. Basically this dude cut the resistor off the wires (or whatever u call the two silver things that get soldered to the circuit board) and soldered the new one on so it sticks up about an inch higher than the others

Take the value of the resistor - add 10% and subtract 10%. If the value you read falls within this range - resistor is good. Example: 100 ohm is good if reads anywhere between 90 and 110 ohms. Wink

I only used 10% as an example, yours may be 5%?

thanks...both too high and too low means bad resistor
