Now you're saying 'white line.' Is there just a thin white line in the middle of the screen that runs right to left/left to right? -------- in the middle? "But a solid line."

If the set detects a problem, the front LED will blink a number of times, pause and blink again. Counting the number of blinks will indicate the inernal problem. If there is no pattern to the blinks, the set will remain in "startup" mode. This usually indicates a problem with the picture tube. A quick verification of this can be done by turning up the screen control on the flyback transformer. Note turn is just slightly. If the picture comes on, then the picture tube is starting to fail. Adjusting the screen control may give you some time, but that time should be spent looking for a replacement set. This "fix" won't last.

Considering my experience I would say that you probably have a faulty
EEProm (Memory chip). normally 24c04 or 24c08. Not to sure on this model. Try obtaining from a local supplier. Not sure if this is a blank or programmed IC. Good Luck.
