You could probably get a copy of "IC Master" which covered variety of generic TTL & CMOS----Problem being it is simply too old. though you can still find a used hard copy (ONLY useful for older devices ~circa 80-early 90's)

It was rather bulky & expensive w/updates. It is now free & they have since gone online like everyone else.

With the exception of application specific devices, pretty much any "reference publication" is simply too cost-prohibitive on paper.
Most have completely gone paperless.

I'm after a book(s) containing information about CMOS and TTL IC's.

I'm a repair engineer repairing test equipment (instrumentation) who repairs down to component level and I come accross the scenario quite often where I'm getting datasheets off the internet for CMOS and TTL.

Its from there I have begun to wonder if there are publications that have all the CMOS and TTL devices within them, and a rough insight to each one such as general description, conection diagrams etc.

This would cut down on a lot of paper work and hassle of keep going on the internet for datasheets, and prove a very handy book. However, I've searched all the local library's around my area and not found a book similar to what i'm after. I've also tried popular websites like amazon to look for such publications but non spring to life as being the right 'type'.

It would be appriciated if people can give their view on this, and if they're using books similar in nature to the one(s) in subject, please can details be given -ISBN number I'd imagine would be sufficient.

I'm sure there has to be such books out there and can appriciate that the two seperate books might be out there rather than just 1 book covering both, but I was working on the idea that the same author would cover a book on CMOS and one on TTL.

Many thanks for your time,
Phil
