According to the (now obsolete) IEC 750 standard, B is used to designate various sensors, transducers etc. I. e. thermocouples, photo cells, thermistors, microphones. Maybe your parts could be NTC resistors that are used for some kind of temperature compensation?

It is also common to use B to designate jumpers, zero-ohm resistors etc.

In the past, Philips used B to designate vacuum tubes and lamps.

On ATI capture card, component is labeled on board with B, such as B27, B28, B29, 2 leads, looks like resistor and always has cap beside it.
Never saw a B beside a component like this..what the heck is it? Thanks
