Vertical output amplifier may also be faulty. Usually some TDAxxxx chip. Not very expensive thing.

REPLACE ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITORS IN FRAME STAGE, WITH AGE THE CAPS FALL IN VALUE. AS THEY WARM UP THE VALUE WILL INCREASE.

My 21" philips TV at home when switched on, starts with almost half of the screen (bottom half) blacked out. Then the black portion's height gradually reduces and after some hours i get to see a proper screen.
Please let me know that the problem could be.
